The Daily Dose Of Information – Episode 5
Topic: Sports
Date: 6th July, 2008
Hello and welcome to another episode of “The Daily Dose Of Information”. Today’s episode is another one on sports and it is episode 5. I am doing another one on sports as the biggest cycling event just kicked off yesterday – The Tour De France 2008. So I am going to get you up to date on it.
I hope you all had a great time watching the Tennis finals yesterday. I got 2 of my predictions right yesterday, one wrong and one left. I only got the Woman’s Doubles Final wrong. Today, I am waiting for the Gentleman’s Single Final. Anyways… this episode is specifically on Cycling.
So without further ado, I present to you episode 5 of “The Daily Dose Of Information”, right after this.
The 2008 Tour de France is the 95th Tour de France. The event will take place from July 5 to July 27, 2008. Starting in the French city of Brest, the tour will enter Italy on the 15th stage and return to France during the 16th, heading for Paris, its regular final destination, which will be reached in the 21st stage. All time bonuses for intermediate sprints and at each stage finish line have been scrapped.

So there you go. You are now up to date on the riders, stages and route map and the basic changes for this year.
This year it is going to be close between Cadel Evans and Alejandro Valverde. Who knows, maybe even Denis Menchov or Carlos Sastre can be in the fray for the yellow jersey. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
I hope you all are looking forward to the Tour De France for 2008.
UPDATE: Alejandro Valverde won yesterday’s first stage. He came in first across the finish line and now holds the yellow jersey.
Today’s stage is a 165km flat stage from Auray – Saint-Brieuc.
Thats all for another episode of “The Daily Dose Of Information”. Do join me next time for another episode. It will porbably be tomorrow and I might be doing another sports one as Wimbledon is finishing todsay (Go Federer) and the F1 Silverstone Grand Prix is just 15 minutes away! (Go Kubica).
This is your host for the day, Sahil Bhalla, signing off. Have a great Sunday and a great Monday and so on.. Enjoy the time that you have. Good bye and Good luck.

Hello..I am not really into many guy sports although I have been an avid cyclist for many years and am presently enjoying kayaking with the dolphins. Sports is always a very good conversation piece and there is never a lack of information.
Keep up the very informative cycling articles
