The Daily Dose of Information – Episode 1
Topic: Movies
Date: 11th June, 2008

Hello and welcome the “The Daily Dose of Information,” Episode 1. I hope you all had a great weekend and that you are ready for the forthcoming movies this Friday…
This episode will contain Lots of trailers, first looks and some other information left out. It is your guide to the latest movies and the latest happens in the industry.

To kick-start things: in this episode, we are going to talk trailers. Now, some of the new trailers are pretty damn awesome, and some are literally a piece of crap. Some trailers will bore you out of your mind, and others will blow your brains out. How good the movie is will be decided purely on the basis of the trailers for now.

So first off, I have got a trailer from Pixar’s new animation movie Wall-E I am very much excited for this movie. The trailer was shown in the USA during ABC’s airing of Finding Nemo. I won’t spoil it for you so just go and watch it.
Announcement: Wall-E hits theaters on June 27th, 2008.

Next is the trailer for Transporter III. If you like the first two movies then you will probably like this one, judging by the trailer. If you haven’t seen the first two movies, check this one out anyway.

Third, for you I have got the stupidest trailer in recent memory. The movie is called “Marley and Me.” The cast includes Owen Wilson and Jenifer Aniston, and at first I thought since the cast was good, the trailer offer me a slight hope for the movie. After watching the trailer, though, I have up, and now I think this might just be one of the worst movies releasing soon.

Lastly for you I have got the Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa trailer. I pretty much liked the first film and the second one looks like it is living up to the first one.

Next up on the show are first looks. This segment will bring to you posters and articles on the first look into upcoming and movies to be released in the future. Any gossip on the movies or any first look will be given to you right in this segment of the show.

First Look:

To kick start proceedings in this segment, I have got a poster from Oliver Stone’s upcoming film on George W. Bush. It is called W. You can see it here. It is pretty funny, but sadly the poster is fake and a rep for Lionsgate Films confirmed to Pop Wrap (link) that no poster has been created for the film yet. Still, do check it out.

Next up is news about the future of “The Spider man Series”. It seems that Sam Raimi wants to continue directing the franchise and he is set to go ahead and direct the next in the series, Spiderman 4. Is this good news or bad news? Well, you people decide!

Next up is a wired article reporting on Iron Man 2. Read this as well. Nothing much to say here except that it is an interesting read. Also there is another article about Marvel Studios being cheap and how this might affect the film.

Some excellent news now is that Leonardo Di Capri has signed on to play Nolan Bushnell, the founder of Atari in this biopic film. See the news here.

Next up is a first look at “Angels and Demons”. Well, the Da Vinci Code was a box office hit (though it got negative reviews)… I am wondering how the audience will take to this one.

Not really a first look but the word is that the trailer for the new Terminator movie will coincide with the release of The Dark Knight! Now that will generate some good buzz for the Terminator series!

De Niro’s two films’ posters are up next… “What Just Happened” and “Righteous Kill”. I like both of them and I think both the movies might just turn out to be a hit.

Vin Diesel in a French film. I have never heard of Vin Diesel in a foreign movie but hey! It’s called Babylon A.D.

That concludes the first look… I hope you people will like the trailers and all the first looks.

The Final Segment For Today’s Show Is Called Bits And Pieces Left Out;

Did any of you happen to check out the movie “Kung Fu Panda”? Well, the movie has topped the box office for last weekend! It is highly rated by the critics and it beat out the very low-rated Adam Sandler movie, “You Don’t Mess WIth Zohan”. Last weeks number one and two movies fell to three and four (Sex And The City and Indiana Jones). Box Office Numbers.

Next up is a article on Harold And Kumar and drug culture…

Final article of the day is on “The Top 10 Maddest, Baddest Daddies in Film”. I particularly agree with the list. So please go and check it out.

So that concludes today’s episode of “The Daily Dose Of Information”. I hope you all enjoyed the show.
